Universal Benefits Application 25-26
Sweetwater High School
What is the UBA?
The Universal Benefits Application helps our community qualify for certain benefits, from funding to tutoring, supplies, parent engagement events, to financial aid for AP testing, and it can also qualify families for reduced SDG&E costs and more. Please watch this 3-minute video about the UBA
You can view the application here, but please note that we require hard paper copies to be submitted.
What does the UBA look like?
Please see examples of the application here:
When will I get a paper copy of the application and when do I return it?
At Sweetwater, we will be notifying our community about the UBA in this way:
- 9/2 during SP 6: Reminding students about the UBA
- 9/3 during SP 5: distributing paper UBA applications to students
- 9/4 during SP 2: students should return applications for collection
- We would like all applications collected by September 19th (before Fall Break).
Are there any tips for completing the application?
Parents, please be sure to write in the monthly (not yearly income). Also, if you have more than 4 people in your household, you will need to attach an additional UBA to add their names. Lastly, if anyone in your household qualifies for a government program such as CalFresh, you can provide us with a Case number and you will not need to add income information. If your student is taking an AP exam, the UBA can help with testing costs. See more information here.
Can I email an application?
No. While we initially accepted applications signed through echosign, we are currently only accepting paper applications. Please do not email an application. Please bring in a hard copy of your application to turn into AP Hadi or on 9/4 to the SP2 teacher. We are asking all applications be returned by 9/19 (before Fall Break).
