If you’re in search of an awesome club to join or just want to help out, then here’s one really cool club to consider joining – PURE Club. This club, although small, has a big goal, which is to unite with one another to help restore and clean our environment. This club works hard to help not only our environment but also our community by cleaning our public parks and insuring they stay clean while raising awareness for a cleaner environment overall.

Some events this dedicated club has recently done include cleaning our beautiful rivers and beaches in the San Diego area in conjunction with I Love A Clean San Diego. The PURE Club has also, as of recently, worked alongside other clubs such as Animal Care (another great community service oriented club) to influence our community by helping its people and keeping our city clean and presentable. These events that this cub has participated in not only offer fun ways for students to gain community service hours, but also they help to educate students on how to care for our environment, to meet new people, and to enjoy our wonderful beaches and parks with our friends as we help keep them beautiful.

Other upcoming events the PURE Club members have in mind for the upcoming weeks include a Black Out Day to raise awareness of conserving electricity and energy, as well as a Paper Recycling week to advocate the practice of recycling in our communities. So, if anyone is interested in joining this environmental club, do so!

PURE Club meets every Wednesday in Room 503 and welcomes anyone to join!
