Non-Privileged List: Seniors, please continue to perform and behave as the model students for the entire student body. Please remember, students who display conduct that violate school policy will face disciplinary action. Any senior student who faces disciplinary action runs the risk of losing his/her senior privileges. The loss of senior privileges will include but not be limited to participation in Prom, GradNite, and our Graduation Ceremony. In some cases, the severity of the situation will result in alternate school placement for the rest of the year. Lastly, if you owe textbooks or have outstanding fines, you will end up on the non-privilege list. There are a lot of textbooks from semester I that have not been returned, please return them to the library! Make sure to take care of those textbooks and fines. Seniors, continue to do the right thing, the Red Devil thing!
Prom: Prom this year will be held at the beautiful Corky McMillan Venue in Liberty Station. This year’s prom will take place on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. Price of tickets will be $45 dollars and will go on sale March 1st. We promise to make it a beautiful night and worthy of our class of 2018. Remember, to say off the Non-Privilege List.
GradNite: GradNite and Disneyland have significantly increased their prices. We will have the hopper pass that will allow our students to go to both parks—California Adventure and Disneyland. This year, we will leave anywhere from 1:00pm – 1:30pm from Sweetwater High School and return to the school the following day at 5:00am. The date of GradNite will be Friday, June 1st, 2018. Approximately 350 tickets will be available and cost per ticket will be exactly $199. Tickets will go on sale March 1st. Again, remember to stay off the Non-Privilege List.
Graduation: Graduation this year falls on the 1st full week of June. We will graduate on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018. Graduation will be held at Southwestern College, and we have been given the 6pm slot. At the beginning of 2nd semester, we will start publishing information regarding the purchase of Caps and Gowns (Week of January 22nd through our Social Science classes and the ASB). Cap and Gowns do not have to be purchased (optional), but since they are custom fitted, ALL STUDENTS MUST ORDER A CAP AND GOWN. Students have received their cap and gown order forms from their social science teachers. Students can order there Cap and Gown on January 30th, in the senior lawn with Glenn Millen from San Diego Graduate Supply.
YEAR BOOKS: You can purchase your Yearbooks at the ASB for $65. We are open during nutrition break and lunchtime.
CSF: Our interim CSF Advisor is Mrs. Meg Garcia in room 324. The window to turn in applications for CSF will be January 24th – February 9th. CSF Dues ($8) can be paid from February 20th – March 2nd. All application and dues can be made to Mrs. Garcia.
