Karla was selected and recognized as one of six student panelists from across the country for the AP Computer Science Principles course and Mr. Lopez as one of six teachers for the teacher panel by both the College Board and National Science Foundation. Karla and Mr. Lopez also meet with Dr. Edward Felton, Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Dr. Felten is an adviser to President Obama on Computer Science issues, and it was a great honor for Karla and Mr. Lopez to meet and spend time talking with Dr. Felten.
