On April 30, 2015 CSU San Marcos hosted a Women’s Hackathon Event. Sweetwater Union High School students were there!
- Aseret Flores & Sarah Valencia (Sweetwater High School)
- Amanda Castro, Emili Meyer, Ivy Nguyen, & Precious Lara (Olympian High School)
During the awards ceremony, Emily, Aseret, and Sarah (Team Pumas) earned an award for developing a game concept as part of a website to educate the public about the environment around jaguars. They won in the classification of originality and impact.
Amanda, Ivy, and Precious , (Team Rawr) earned an award based on their concept for a website that followed most closely the theme about educating the public about Jaguars. They wrote everything in English and in Spanish.
