EARLY STUDENT RELEASE

Students leaving the school early must be picked up by a parent (guardian) or an adult listed on the student’s emergency contact list.

It is a faster process if you send a note with the student in the morning with the time of pick up to be handed in to the Attendance Office. The student will be handed a pass to return at that time to meet you. No off campus after 3:15.

ID is required at time of release.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Please contact the following personnel for attendance policies and resolving student attendance issues.

Please contact Mr. Martinez in the Attendance office to excuse your son/daughter’s absence

  • You may call or email Mr. Martinez.  Email is preferred and it MUST be from the parent/guardian’s email account on file. Otherwise, leave a message.
  • Students mistakenly marked absent:
    • Have your student come to the Attendance office to pick up an Attendance Correction Form.
    • They must complete the form with their name and ID number plus the date and period that they were marked absent.
    • They then turn in the form to the Attendance office.
    • Students  should try to do this as soon as possible.
  • Students can NOT excuse their own absence. It must be a Parent or Guardian
  • BUT, students SHOULD email their teachers when they are going to be absent to let them know
  • Students are STILL responsible for work that they miss when they are absent

Please call or email (preferred) to make an appointment with Mr. Rodriguez, if:

  • A Short Independent Contract (Excused Absence up to 15 days) is needed
  • Your student is struggling with attendance
  • Need Saturday School information:
  • Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm (Doors close at 8:00am)
  • One Saturday school clears:
    • A full day of absence plus 8 tardies, OR
    • 3 single period absences plus 8 tardies

For Saturday School, students must bring their backpack with work, books, and laptop.

Note:  Saturday School attendance does not make up for missed classwork!
