2019 Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project Student Conference

JUNIORS and SENIORS — interested in building an understanding of what it means to be an Asian American or Pacific Islander American student in today’s culturally and ethnically diverse society?


The Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project (APYLP) is a non-profit organization that sponsors a statewide conference for high school juniors and seniors. In this conference, you will have an opportunity to participate in group workshops on:

  • leadership development
  • cultural identity and awareness
  • the legislative process
  • public speaking skills

As a participant you will also be able to:

  • participate in mock legislative sessions
  • hear from elected officials and prominent speakers from the Asian and Pacific Islander community

A total of fifty juniors and seniors will be selected from STATEWIDE applicants to participate in this conference on April 11-14, 2019 in Sacramento. The APYLP will pay ALL EXPENSES for the participants including:

  • travel
  • lodging
  • meals

Applications are due no later than Thursday, November 15, 2018.
