STEM and the National City Public Library

On Thursday, March 25, at 3:00 p.m., the National City Public Library will be hosting a Virtual Craftronics Program provided through the generosity of UCSD Sally Ride Science. This approximate one-hour program will include materials. These materials will be available for pick up at the library before the event. This program can accommodate up to 20 students and is suited for children grades 1-12.  Please tell your children to sign up on the library web site on the children’s page at

A second program opportunity that we would like to share is that the National City Public Library, one of the partners in the NC 16 Weeks of STEAM, will be giving an LED project kit to the students who sign up for the NC 16 Weeks of STEAM through the library website at If it is more convenient, the teachers can follow the link to sign up their entire class as a group. The families can individually come to the library to pick up this free project kit or the teacher could come for all of them at one time. The library and other partners are awarding prizes for performing activities for each of the four modules. For each module completed, a book will be awarded
