FAFSA period is from January 2 to March 2. Financial Aid night for Class of 2016 students and parents is on January 28, 6PM in the Theater and Library. Please bring your parents. Counselors are available Monday-Thursday after school to help students and parents with the FAFSA application starting February 2^nd.

Karla was selected and recognized as one of six student panelists from across the country for the AP Computer Science Principles course and Mr. Lopez as one of six teachers for the teacher panel by both the College Board and National Science Foundation. Karla and Mr. Lopez also meet with Dr. Edward Felton, Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Dr. Felten is an adviser to President Obama on Computer Science issues, and it was a great honor for Karla and Mr. Lopez to meet and spend time talking with Dr. Felten.

Congratulations to the Sweetwater High School Band, Letterettes and Drill Team for winning awards at the Chula Vista Starlight Parade this Past December, 2015!

Congratulations to both Karla Gonzalez and Mr. Art Lopez as they were selected by both the College Board and the National Science Foundation to represent Sweetwater High School and the Sweetwater Union High School District at the 100 Teachers AP Computer Science Principles Summit in Boston, MA!

Karla and Mr. Lopez are scheduled to appear with Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer Dr. Ed Felten of the White House, Advisor to President Obama and other White House and National Science Foundation Officials! Karla was selected as one of six students from across the USA for her outstanding work in the Computer Science Principles Class!
