Every Wednesday at SUHi, the ASB has lunch activities. Usually it’s between the classes; and if your class wins, you get class points. At the end of the year, all the points are added up and the winning class gets your year on a banner to hang in the new gym. But the past two weeks the activities have been focused on the top five of the Homecoming Court. It has been focused on the Homecoming Court because the ASB wants us to get to know the candidates.

The activities ranged from throwing grapes in a classmate’s mouth to decorating pumpkins. In the pumpkin decorating contest, candidates had to decorate a pumpkin and whoever got the loudest cheers won. Alejandra Estrada and Julian Hernandez won. The Candidates were racing against the time to make the best one and get the loudest cheers.

The ASB makes these Wednesday activities so that the classes can bond and help support each other. Some of the games need up to five people so students have to work as a team. There aren’t any teachers running the games. It’s all ASB students; they do it all. All they want is to bring the classes and the student body closer together. And, they’re doing a great job at accomplishing this! So, keep it up ASB… and keep on going Red Devils!
